Life is a game of... Well Life!

I am currently in a crazy game of Life with a five year old con-artist and it's not looking good!

This week we had some amazing brake throughs with Marcia and Betty!
Mya is close to being on date for baptism so we are praying for miracles in that department!

Agency! That is my message this week, everyone has been given something that can never be taken away. Freedom to chose the right.
"Wherefore, men are freeaccording to the flesh; and allthings are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself." 2 Nephi 2:27

What goes "Ha ha ha ha, plop"?

This week's email may be a little shorter then others... Last Monday Sister Summerhays fell while guarding me in b-ball and rolled her ankle good! So we've been just chilling for the time being.
We did get to video chat with our investigator, Betty, so that was cool. We went on exchanges with the Sister training leaders on Friday. And we are starting from scratch all the lessons for Marcia! It was a pretty productive week despite the advisory's attempts to slow us down!
I love you all! You are amazing and know that Jesus loves you too!
Oh, the awncer to the title is "someone laughing there head off". One of Sister Summerhay's favorites!
Love you all! - Sister Partridge
P. S. We also went to the magical world of Hoddy Lobby! I love that place!!!

Hey Diddle Diddle, the cat and the Stradivarius fiddle!

Wow! This week was a learning experience for me! I love family history so much!

- Betty went 5 days without any cigarettes! She hasn't done that since she started! She is so awesome! We are going to start meeting with her more regularly.
- Dorothy is progressing. I have never seen someone so repentant in my whole life! She basically asked us who she needed to talk to to be forgiven of sin before she dies! She also loves Joseph Smith's story and really relates to searching for lasting forgiveness and peace that comes with it. She is doing really well, she can just be a little confusing some times, but we love her!
- We help a home bound member every other week with family history and this week I learned something very valuable, from the most unexpected place.
Sister Frick was telling us about how her father had a fiddle from his father that they both played. A family heirloom! I love all the old things so I had to see it! She hadn't seen it in over 20 years either and wanted to hold it again. So we ended up going on an adventure into the back of her closet to find what we were expecting to be an old dusty fiddle. Underneath some old luggage and behind shoes boxes, in an old box covered in flowers we found a plastic bag wrapped and tied like a musical instrument.

Sister Summerhays undid the flax cord and removed an old violin from the plastic wrapping. The bow had long been lost, the strings were missing, and only one original peg was present.
What I saw was an old broken violin. Not playable. I still loved it because it had a story behind it, it was well loved by Sis Frick even though it wasn't in working order. Now Sister Summerhays knew it's worth and had a completely different out look then I.
She say something I didn't, looking in the front crack thingy was small lettering and the seal of the world's best craftsman, Stradivarius!

Now for all those like me who want to say "bless you" when you hear this word I will explain...no that, too long, I will sum up: "A Stradivarius is a string instrument built by members of the Stradivari family...The bowed instruments are famous for the quality of their sound, which has defied attempts to explain or reproduce. The name 'Stradivarius' has also become a superlative applied to designate excellence. To be called 'The Stradivari' of any field is to be deemed the finest there is". When I read this I was impressed but then I HEARD a Stradivarius and my Jaw Dropped!
I know we always say "the worth of souls is great in the sight of God", but do we really believe it some times? Finding this instrument really showed me what it is like to be an "old fiddle". Sometimes we see ourselves as an old fiddle in the back of the closet, not worth very much, but in the eyes of our create we are worth so much! And I'm not talking about the fact that we are a pretty piece of wood to be looked at in a museum, no that's not why a Stradivarius is worth 15 Million! Its worth 15 Million for it sound!
Each one of us has been created to make beautiful music in our own way. What we are built to do as God's children make us worth infinitely more then we can see just sitting in a closet. We are made for Greatness! Nothing we do will ever change that! I know I am one of God's "Stradivarius" and so are you!

I hope you enjoyed this weeks adventures, I know and love me savior and what he has done for me. I wish you all a great week and enjoy life, He loves you!
I love you!!!
