🎶 It rain and poured for 49 daisys daisys... Rained and Poured and Went all Crazy Crazy..

Okay... So, most of Indiana is swimming right now, just kidding only Elkhart is but I was on Friday that's for sure! The rain started on Tuesday and didn't let up till Saturday! It was really fun!
rain, rain and some more rain...

On to the good stuff...
We say many a miracle this week! Sister Summerhays and I had the best lesson ever with Dorothy. We taught the whole plan of salvation in two and a half hours. Dorothy has really been in search for answers and we were able to answer them. She is such an all star! She serves the community in her own little way, she is an expert at bring the First principle of the gospel (Faith in Jesus Christ) to those that are alone and hurting. Nothing would add to my joy more then seeing her baptized. And that might just happen this next month. At the end of our lesson she asked us about how we baptize and wants to be! We asked her to pray about a date.
God is so good! He is waiting to bless us we just need to ask for the help! I know who Jesus Christ is and I have seen so many miracles because I know him. Alma 5:45-46

We are also working with some new people. It's a new transfer, we are both staying, miracles are on the horizon!
I love you all,
Have a great week!

Happy Love Month!!!

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all well. As most of you probably know, I am now an official Facebook missionary and I love it! We have already seen so may miracles from having smartphones.
We haven't seen or heard from Dorothy in a while so we dropped by and talked with her. She is just as scared as everyone else after the shooting this week but we brought the spirit in with the Book of Mormon app. The more Dorothy talked about her family the more I felt like she was talking about Lehi's family. I couldn't help it, we all pulled up the app and in the process Sister Summerhays hit a button and it started to read it to us. Dorothy loved it! She totally saw the connection between her dysfunctional family and Lehi's dysfunctional family. It was a powerful moment in my mission. Technology is just a new Liahona for us to feel the spirit and get closer to God.

Also, Happy Love Month!!! February is the best month ever, and its not just because the best people are born in February, even though they are; its because its the time of year that hearts are everywhere that remind us to Love others. Isn't that Great! I know Love it! :)

I also got to go to Beverley's Baptism! It was sooooo amazing to be there with all my friends, the best part was after the baptism. I just kept thinking we're an eternal family, we are going to be an eternal family! I get to see all these people in Heaven! They can't ever get away from me!!! We are Family!!!!!!! I just got more and more and more excited the longer we were there.

This is why I am out here. "To bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." This is why we are here, this is why I just love, Love! And once again ... and always, Jesus Christ is at the center of it all. Read the scriptures and find him too. Have a Great week and Valentine's Month,
I love you so much,
Sister Partridge :)

Pray for a desire to serve then go and try it out. You will feel eternal joy, I promise! ;)

What would we do without parents? ....or Heavenly Parents?

This week we had exchanges, and I got to be with Sister Muhlestein! I love that girl so much. We went out and had a couple of visits. First. Dorothy! I love Dorothy, she is just getting through this week, she had another death in a family close to her but she also has a brand new granddaughter too! She has started to look through the Book of Mormon and is loving it, now we just need to see her during the week.
We are also starting to work with a less active/ part member family. Anna is Rusty and Amanda's daughter and is ready for a change of church pace so we will be getting her to young woman's soon and then into the waters of baptism!
Our Investigator, Mya was super sick this week and so we didn't get to see her. Did you know the whole hospital is on lock down right now! The flu is soooooo bad here in Indiana I cant believe it, it's so bad we could add another plague to the Egypt at this point!
Marcia came to church!!!!! Yes!!!! Her brother's health prevents her from coming and that really bits because she wants to get baptized, she just needs to come to church more.
....Terre Haute update:
Walter passed the sacrament last week! I'm so proud of him!
Beverly's baptism is this weekend! Yay! :)

This week I wanted to emphasize the importance of Unity. As you see in my wonderful picture up top that I would like to say "Hi, Mom!". :) The Mothers of the stripling warriors were amazing but they didn't do it alone. It took both a father and mother working together toward Christ to produce such strong faith in their sons. God did not create man to be better then woman, nor woman to be over the man. Despite what the world may say, it takes Both to fulfill God's plan of Happiness and it all started with Adam and Eve being one. We see the same strength with Lehi and Sariah as they take on the command to leave the city of Jerusalem, and we see the same faith with our priesthood leaders today. I have never once heard a bad thing come from a prophet or apostle of the Lord and I see their love for there families in every part of there lives.
Unity is so important to God. Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost, and the Father are often mistaken for one being because they are so perfectly unified! I love there example and the leaders we have in the scriptures, I pray that one day I will be so perfectly unified with my family that we will be considered one with each other and one with our Heavenly Father.

Thanks Mom and Dad for being such a wonderful example for me. I know that no family is perfect and we are not suppose to be...right now. But, if this is something we want God will help us get there. I promise as you keep the commandments and communicate the way you feel with your Savior and others you will be happier and more unified.
Have a great week,
Best wishes from Indiana!
Love ya, Sister Partridge

Round 2 for Jesus!

Hello Friends! This week has been soooo good! I got a mint shake from Arby's! And the members are terrific, they have been bringing all the investigators to church! I also love the new ward counsel-3rd-hour-in-a-circle thing! Despite the world Sister Summerhays made it to the temple and you know what, it was a great experience, just like every temple trip should be!

So Sister Summerhays and I are on round 2 of this whole flu thing...except it may not be the flu.... I'm still fine, Thanks to all your prayers! I am so grateful for y'all. :)

If there is anything I have learned from all of you, its been how to be a good friend. Just like the Savior, you guys have been there for me, listened, partied and forgiven me for stupid stuff. Some one who can listen and then tell me the good hard truth. This life is our choice. I am so grateful Jesus Christ is my Redeemer. Oh the joy we must have felt when our Father told us we were coming to Earth and what greater Joy we must have felt when He said our older brother, Jesus would take the punishment for us. How unfair it seems to have a perfect being take everything for me, now that is a Great friend. With so much love our Savior cares for us. There is soooooo much to be joyful about!
We have a living prophet!
We have good doctors!
We have friends and family!
We have the Book of Mormon and the Bible!
Has the day of Miracles Ceased? I think NOT! (crazy teacher from the Incredibles...)

You all are awesome. Jesus is the real deal. God loves you. And the church is Still true! Your job now is to go and be someones friend today! Love and listen and God will take care of the rest!
Love you all,
Sister Partridge :)
