Hard is Good! We have Jesus!

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all are staying nice and cool because it's been H O T here in Indiana!
I've got a great tan line starting and sister Johnson has a great mission ahead!
Now let me clarify something, I am not the greatest emailer nor teacher but I do know that the message I share is from God and it is true. This message has improved the quality of my life and it can do the same for you!

This week has been hard but hard is good. After emailing last Monday we went to the church to play ball and de-stress but I got more and more ancy and anxious to the point where I just wanted to sleep! (This usually happens whenever I think of tracting.)
But that's not what you do as a missionary, instead Sister Johnson and I wanted to be diligent and so we spent a painful amount of time getting to the area where we felt like we needed to be. We really didn't want to go but we went anyway with the goal of talking to 5 people. We felt pulled in the direction of this particular street, then almost no one was home. We knocked maybe 20 doors and only talked to 4 people and a dog, the further we went the later it got and the more humble the houses were. We knock on this little white house at the end of the road. That's when we met the family Sister Johnson and I have been praying for! I would tell you there names but I'm really not sure how to spell them.
We taught a 3 min lesson on Jesus Christ's love and prophets through out time and Joseph Smith on the doorstep.  We were going to set up a time to come back but they just let us in right then and there! We taught and testified and Shawmaka is 14 so she really connected with Joseph Smith. When we read Alma 31:34-35, you could see that there Mom had been touched by the power of the Holy Ghost, for there "souls are precious" to God.
They held the book with such care that you could tell they prized this book over anything else in that moment.
So on the last door on the street, in the last hour of the day, with the last person to talk to Heavenly Father took us to this family, not for our benefit, but for the benefit of this family!

I know that God loves us because we are his  children, I know that my family is one example of that love. It's never going to be easy, Elder Ellis gave a talk on this last November. He said "Hard makes us stronger, humbles us, and gives us a chance to prove ourselves."
Elder Ellis tells us to not fear, the phrase "fear not" is all over the scriptures and its becase when we have Jesus Christ on our side we have nothing to fear!
There is hope and help ahead, today, tomorrow and always!
Look to the Savior! Read your Book of Mormon!

Sorry for the long email, it's just been the best week ever and I needed to tell you all about it!
I love you all and I hope one day to introduce you to Sister Johnson, she's an all-star!
Love ya, have a great week!!!

Home stretch! Here. We. GO!

Who is excited for Missionary work? I am! Last 6 Weeks and its going
to be the best 6 weeks ever!!!! You want to know why? Because I am
taking the challenge of Elder Evans and starting the Book of Mormon
over again. I can't wait to see what happens because I really have no
idea what will happen, but I know it'll be awesome!!

This week we saw many miracles but the one I want to share is about
Emily G. She is the sweetest lady I have ever met! She reads her Bible
every morning, lunch time, and before bed. One night she was reading
and this question thing popped up on her phone and she answered a
couple of questions and then she was contacted by a couple of sisters
in Salt Lake, those sisters are all stars! next thing we know sister
Johnson and I are sitting at her house sharing the message of the
Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and giving her a Book of
Mormon.
She is soooo sweet and I am excited to see what comes of meeting with
her in the future. She has been prepared for this gospel!

I love the talk that Elder Evans gave in October 2017 called "The
Truth of All Things"
I wanted to share a little from it because it helped me get back on
the straight and narrow.
"Over the years I have asked missionaries and young people around the
world how they started in their personal effort to seek truth and gain
a testimony. Almost without exception, they respond that their own
effort to gain a personal testimony started with the personal decision
to read the Book of Mormon from the beginning and ask God if it is
true. In doing this, they chose to “act” rather than to be “acted
upon” by the doubts of others."
Everyone is faced with questions at some point in life and its up to
you to choose what we do from there. I have chosen to follow the
invitation I have given for the past 17 months and read the Book of
Mormon with real intent and an open mind, all while keep the
commandments to the fullest.
I am so excited!!!! I love you all! Have a great week everyone!
I love you!

I love Jesus!

Hello Hello Everyone!!!
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there! I Love you All so
much!! Thank you for your support and love!

This week was full of finding! We had zone conference and everyone in
the mission committed to being 9/10 on obedience by October so we've
kicked it into high gear!
Obedience is the first law of Heaven and therefore, anything can
happen, especially miracles! And thats what we are expecting!

Miracles!!!

This weeks miracle has to do with the simple power of prayer. Over the
last 5 weeks we have been praying every night for our investigators
and members by name and this week I feel like I have finally began to
see progress! Missions are so awesome! I am so glad I get to be here
in Indiana, I have made so many life long friends that I feel like are
family!
It will be a great day when we are all able to stand together as
witnesses of Jesus Christ. If someone seems almost to different that
you can't love them, ask them about there favorite color, favorite
food, favorite show to watch and maybe ask them about what they hope
for, what they dream about, and what they love.
I know that Jesus Christ cares about you, he want to know what your
favorite color is, what your favorite food is, your hopes and dreams
and he will listen with pure love.
Strive to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ this week.
Look up something new, read a story and put yourself in it.
I love my Savior.
I love my Heavely Father.
I love my Mom!

I love you all so much! Have a great week and I'll see you all in July! :)
Love ya,

Parking tickets and sunburns...

Hello! Hello everybuddy!
This week was crazy! I'm so greatful I have all of you who are willing to listen to my preaching of the gospel, other wise I don't know if anyone would care. Lol.

This week we had a special training for Sister Johnson and all those that came with her. We made fools of ourselves by asking the assistants to the president what the purpose of missionary work is, needless to say I've been doing this for a while and I also has a greeny. It was funny and we were tired it was like 10pm. We had also been lovingly rebuked by our zone leaders that same day too. Apparently loving people is needed in missionary work, go figure.
After the special training I was pumped, I was ready to get back and do some really good work and love the crap out of people, But the world had other plans... when I walked out to the car that I had precariously parked a the middle of the parking lot I found a little piece of paper that said I had a $90 fine. Good job Sister P,  good job! Luckly, for my parents, it was an evil joke by one of the office missionaries.
We tracted lots and at one point it reached 92 degrees, I was a happy puddle! I love the heat!
Sister Johnson is awesome! I love her so much she just has a way with kids. This weekend we taught three lessons by just reading from the childrens book of Mormon. I haven't seen so much peace in a while. At one particular house, Betty and all three kids took turns reading and the fighting ceased, any anger or resentment was pulled away and this heart broken family was happy for at least 5 minutes. There is so much power in the Book of Mormon, if you just don't know what to do, pick up a copy and start to read. It's a gift, a privilege, and it gives us peace because it speaks of Jesus Christ.
I love Him so much! I love the blessings he gives as well and I want all of you to know that He loves you, too.

Have a great day, I hope this helps you this week. Till I send again!
Love ya, Sister Partridge :)

90+ Who cares about spring, let's bring in the summer!

Oh ya, Sister Johnson was teaching me how to play soccer with the b ball we have.

We made bread with sister Brinegar!

I know it doesn't look like I'm mad but I was pretty scared!
