A Life Time of Miracles

Hello Everyone,
This is a time of sad goodbyes and exciting beginnings.
This week Sister Johnson and I were preparing for my leaving by working super hard and knocking doors when the chessboard was flipped again!
Our lives turned into a mad dash as we learned on Saturday that Sister Johnson will be leaving as well and be going to Brownsburg with Sister Womack! Haha!
OH! But it gets better! They are switching us out with Elders! This area is going to love the Elders or at least they should, Elders work hard and do a lot to add to whatever ward they are in.

As for me, I will be coming home to my sweet Utah family leaving behind the family I have created here in Indiana. I have seen a life time of miracles and I am so excited to share them with all of you. I would love to hear about your mission/life miracles too, so be thinking of some!
Before I sign out I would like to share a quick one.
Last Sunday night we got a call from an elderly sister on the very edge of our area. She has a grandson that has recently wanted to start learning about the Bible. We met up with them on Saturday and had a discussion. Something Josh said really humbled me.
Sister Johnson asked "What would it mean for you to be a Son of God?"
In my head I'm like "POWERFUL"!!! But he, humbly replied "Those would be big shoes to fill."
We are each important to Heavenly Father but we have some big shoes to fill. I fall short everyday and that is why I am so grateful for Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate big brother, without him we would "be shut out from the presence of our God, and remain with the father of lies, in misery..." 2 Ne 9:9 but because he lived "the world through him might be saved." John 3:17
I know that my Redeemer lives! And love me too! The spirit whispers this to me and tells me it is true.
I know you will know it's true as you plead to know him too.
Have a great summer and know that I love you,
❤️ Sister Partridge
Also, update: Homecoming talk will be changed to the 22nd of July because of ward conference, but if you want to come this Sunday I'll still be there! πŸ˜‰Thanks friends!

One. More. WEEEK!!!!

AWWW!!! I'M So scared!!!
I don't know if I'll be able to life without Indiana!
Hey Everyone! I love you all so much and I want you to know that I want all of you at my Homecoming if you can make it, it's been set for Sunday, July 8th, 2018 at 12:30pm
4506 East Pony Express Parkway,
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Ut

Anyways enough of being trunky.....
This week was a miracle week for Sister Johnson and I!
1. Marcia came to Church!!!
2. Emily commited herself to read the Book of Mormon everyday!
3. Kristina is starting to understand the use of prayer and reading and both together!
4. WE GOT A MEMBER REFERRAL!!!
5. Desire had an amazing experience with the YSA sisters!!! (we had to pass her off...)

All through Sister Johnson following the spirit and pushing through the hard times, we have had so many good times!
Being such an old missionary, I feel like the big things don't really impress me anymore. Its feels great when you can be a helping hand or save someone's life but the things that I am most impressed with, now, are the little day to day simple prayers and scripture studies that we each do. Day after day, month after month, year after year we grow from a small stick into a mighty oak!

Here is an example of this I found in 1 Nephi 3:29 as Laman and Lemuel beat up Sam and Nephi an angel - AN ANGEL- appears to them! What an amazing miracle, but after that nothing changed for them. They continued in there rebel manner.
Butt! The Prophet, Lehi, did his very best to do the little things. "And it came to pass that as he read, he was filled with the Spirit of the Lord." 1N1:12
Funny how reading can change your heart and mind. These are mighty men in Jesus and each one of us can be just as awesome IF we put our trust in the Lord and read and pray sincerely everyday.
Its all the little things that build up every day. Keep doing the little things,  for those are the miracles I learn the most from.

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful wonderful week!
I will see you all soon!
All the Love in Indiana,
Sister Partridge :D

I couldn't remember if I shared this so here you go... Back from our hike at Griffy lake.

Sister Eads hand made Sister Johnson and I dolls with our own Book of Mormon for each! I love that lady so much!

Zone conference is the best, except when you are asked to speak.

Hello! My name is I Need Money

Hi Everyone, I am Proud to introduce to you my newest best friend,
INeedMoney (aka. Nick)
Nick was out riding his bike (that has no back tire) and yells from
across the street, asking us what we were doing. We said we are
talking with people about Jesus and he jumped up and in the gruffest
way told us to come talk to him, no not him, his dad!
Dads sitting out on the pouch taking a breather when we start into
Prophets. He cuts us off by saying "like Joseph Smith". I braced
myself for what came next but what came next I could never have been
prepared for... He's a member from St. George!
Our chat was cut short because Nick wanted us to go, but then he came with us...
So there we were knocking on doors with the bravest 7 year old I have
ever met! Nick took us to EVERY house on the block and introduced us
to EVERYONE we saw!
Nick was my saving grace this week and possibly for the month!
He showed me what a missionary should look like!

I love all of you! I'll see you soon, like in two weeks!
Love,
Sister Partridge :)

Bike rides and rain storms...

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing week!
My week had lots of good and lots of... learning experiences. :)
1. Bikes are to be ride'n outside, not inside.
2. When it rains... It drops cats and dogs for three straight days.
3. Repent quickly... And don't be afraid to be yourself.
4. "Ask and it shall be given, knock" and you will run into a friend that will give you the means to buy biking helmets for you and your companion.

These are just some of the minor lessons of life I feel.
If you'd like to hear the whole story behind one of the above feel free to ask whenever, all who know me know that I love story time. The one thing that has come to my mind and keeps coming to mind is found in Hebrews 13:17-18
"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls,... "
"Pray for us:... "
I know this might be a hard pill to swallow, I know I was for me but I know that our leaders are called of God and they know what's good for us. I love my mission president! Wouldn't trade him for the world!
I pray for him everyday and I encourage you to pray for your leaders too! Obey and pray and Heavenly Father will bless!

I love you all so much! Have a great week and remember to read your scriptures and write down your thoughts. ~inspiration right there~
Love you πŸ’•πŸ’žπŸ’•

Learn to recognize the Spirit and play DnD!

Hey Friends!
I have no idea where to begin! This week was all over the board!
We played Dungeons and Dragons for the first time ever on Friday with
the sweetest men I have ever met! That was fun, we might go back, I
would love too but my purpose might be else where...
Then on Saturday we had President Robert Gay come from the Presidency
of the 70 and talk about Hell fire!
He put me back on the straight and narrow thats for sure! He spoke a
lot about how Faith and Obedience brings blessings.
My favorite was Elder Sinclair's opening remarks. He started with the
scriptures and taught us all how to use them more in our lives and to
bless our investigator's lives as well.

Any way, Cool spiritual story of the week:
Sister Johnson studied the "Recognizing the Holy Ghost" chapter in
Preach my Gospel yesterday morning and then I'm sure she had a desire
to serve the Lord to the best of her ability. Then we went out and as
we drove we passed a street that she hadn't noticed before, but we
drove on by and later she brought it up but I blew it off.... but it
kept bugging her. We were in the middle of Companionship study when
she brought it up again. I had never had such a prompting to go to
this particular street but I know how it feels to not follow a
prompting when you know its a prompting. So I trusted her. We went to
Maple st. and drove the whole way down to an empty parking lot.
Parked. Prayed. And started to walk, we only had an hour but we asked
the Lord to show us who needed us. We had only walked ten feet before
I saw these three apartment doors and thought this is it! But we said
we would walk the whole street and then tract what we felt. So we kept
walking. Well it turned into a game of Hot and Cold. The farther I got
from the apartments the colder and less motivated I felt. Sister
Johnson felt the same way, so we went back and knocked a couple. We
opened the door to the stair well and it hit me. There was sooooo much
weed smoke I was instantly hi! I turned around and was like "nope, we
out". Then we had second thoughts, everyone needs the gospel and that
includes the weed apartments, so we climbed the stairs and on the last
door we met DJuan the nicest man ever! We asked him about his life and
what he wanted that we could promise him, he opened up and we gave him
a Book of Mormon, then he told us he was house sitting. If we hadn't
followed the prompting to go that day we would have missed helping
this him and his two daughters find more joy and peace. He said he
would read and we could follow up, DJuan is legit!

Moral of the story would be trust your companion and have love for
others written on your heart. With this everything will be just
fine....well also obey the law....thats a biggy!
How do you receive the Holy Ghost? What can you do this week to
improve that relationship? I promise as you do so you will be happier
knowing what you are doing is what God wants and that you will find
Heavenly Father bless you more with the little things that seem super
big to you.
Let me know how it goes this week, I love hearing these stories!

I love you all soooo much I will see everyone in July! Bring on the
Fire Works!!!!
I would also like to let all my mission friends know that I love you,
that wont ever change!
What also wont change is my love for all my friends from College and
Family in Utah, you have all supported me so much and I am so grateful
for all of you! Thanks for changing my life and helping me look to my
Savior!
Have a Great week everyone!
I love you,
Sister Partridge :)

Hard is Good! We have Jesus!

Hi Everyone!
I hope you all are staying nice and cool because it's been H O T here in Indiana!
I've got a great tan line starting and sister Johnson has a great mission ahead!
Now let me clarify something, I am not the greatest emailer nor teacher but I do know that the message I share is from God and it is true. This message has improved the quality of my life and it can do the same for you!

This week has been hard but hard is good. After emailing last Monday we went to the church to play ball and de-stress but I got more and more ancy and anxious to the point where I just wanted to sleep! (This usually happens whenever I think of tracting.)
But that's not what you do as a missionary, instead Sister Johnson and I wanted to be diligent and so we spent a painful amount of time getting to the area where we felt like we needed to be. We really didn't want to go but we went anyway with the goal of talking to 5 people. We felt pulled in the direction of this particular street, then almost no one was home. We knocked maybe 20 doors and only talked to 4 people and a dog, the further we went the later it got and the more humble the houses were. We knock on this little white house at the end of the road. That's when we met the family Sister Johnson and I have been praying for! I would tell you there names but I'm really not sure how to spell them.
We taught a 3 min lesson on Jesus Christ's love and prophets through out time and Joseph Smith on the doorstep.  We were going to set up a time to come back but they just let us in right then and there! We taught and testified and Shawmaka is 14 so she really connected with Joseph Smith. When we read Alma 31:34-35, you could see that there Mom had been touched by the power of the Holy Ghost, for there "souls are precious" to God.
They held the book with such care that you could tell they prized this book over anything else in that moment.
So on the last door on the street, in the last hour of the day, with the last person to talk to Heavenly Father took us to this family, not for our benefit, but for the benefit of this family!

I know that God loves us because we are his  children, I know that my family is one example of that love. It's never going to be easy, Elder Ellis gave a talk on this last November. He said "Hard makes us stronger, humbles us, and gives us a chance to prove ourselves."
Elder Ellis tells us to not fear, the phrase "fear not" is all over the scriptures and its becase when we have Jesus Christ on our side we have nothing to fear!
There is hope and help ahead, today, tomorrow and always!
Look to the Savior! Read your Book of Mormon!

Sorry for the long email, it's just been the best week ever and I needed to tell you all about it!
I love you all and I hope one day to introduce you to Sister Johnson, she's an all-star!
Love ya, have a great week!!!
