Two weeks down!

This week has been full of ups and downs. I have been expanding my mind and it's been exhausting but well worth it. On Tuesday Elder Arnold from the 70 came and spoke on goals we need to have and one of them really stood out: "Find your talents and magnify them." I am always comparing myself to others but I have come to learn that I have something special. Yesterday a thought came to me, I am slow. This is my gift! When you take time and wait in a lesson the spirit can fill the space and teach everyone. Silence is a great thing, so when it takes me time to think, I am also giving Him time to testify, teach, and lift those in the room. It's such an amazing thing to be you, for that's who God made you to be. So be the best you and you will fill others with your Joy! That's all for Charlotte's words of wisdom this week.
Sis. Robb was sent two more packages from other concerned moms and left full of joy and gratitude. We had an Elder leave this morning due to health issues and his parents were NOT happy, pray for Elder Klingler, he may or may not have a place to stay when he gets home. For Christmas, Elder Oaks came and preformed with his family, then we had David Archuleta come, I hate fan girls...also The Osmond family dropped off a son yesterday too. That was cool. We got new missionaries and I got to host a sister Mcgoon. Who turned out to be in my zone, she has been at Snow for the last 2 years and is pretty much my soul sister, except she is going to a different mission then me. I pulled out my biggest wart, that was cool, but it wouldn't stop bleeding, that was bad, but it stopped, so that was good!
The Lord has been teaching me patients with my companion and lessons are GREAT! We had a sister come and play an investigator, with an experience she had years ago. She was anorexic, bulimic, and was in abusive relationships and wanted to know why God wouldn't take away her addiction and give her strength. It was so powerful to hear the testimonies the Elders had to share about there addictions and how they over came then to hear how Britt (the investigator) got through her addictions. I have been stretched everyday and I feel like my mind will explode every night but some how I get up and do it again the next day, its crazy!
Have a great day everyone and stay positive!
Love ya all,
Sister Partridge

Quote of the day: I will have the moral courage to make my actions
consistent with my knowledge of right and wrong.

First week of my imprisonment...

Hey Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season!
My first week in the MTC has been a great learning experience, spiritually and mentally. I am in a trio with Sis. Wright and Sis. Johnson. The other two sisters in our district are Sis. Muhlestein and Sis. Bitter. I love them sooo much. It was a little hard to communicate with them but we had a break through yesterday. We were able to understand each other more and by doing so we have found more opportunities to serve one another.
Piano Guys came and spoke to us on Sunday and boy was it amazing! I loved their music and their testimonies. It turns out the one who plays the cello will tell everyone about the church, his favorite location is in the elevator. That's right there's no escape in there! They all have amazing stories to add to there testimonies. One was in the Christ video. He was the guard who rips Christ's robe off as he carries the cross through the streets. They all served missions and continue to serve as they travel the 7 wonders of the world playing music. Then, we had one of the 70 come and spoke on Charity. The best part was when they told a story about their granddaughter. In school they had all the kids dress up and come to school as "what they want to be". She dressed up in a dress and tights with a black and white name tag on her shirt. She wants to be a missionary! It was soooooo cute! Then she shared her 7 year old testimony with use when she found out her grandpa was coming to the MTC. It made everyone cry, she was so powerful even for a 7 year old.
Then we had the Elders give blessings last night. It was amazing! The Elders have blown my mind on how spiritually mature they all are its incredible to see that its actually possible for the guys to out shine the girls...for once...just kidding, we help each other grow all the time!
I love the letters I am receiving from all of you! Thank you for all your love, it really means so much to me. I hope to get everyone's mailing address because I have more time to write letters then emails. I must be going now, I'm on splits with the other sisters right now because Sis. Wright needed to go to the Dentist.
Have a wonderfully Christ centered Christmas this year! Happy New year!
Love,
        Sister Partridge : )

Setting apart/MTC

Tuesday evening our wonderful Bishop, Bishop Taner Maia and dear Stake President, President Russell Clayton came over to set apart Charlotte for her mission.  Sister Charlotte Partridge was blessed with many wonderful things to help her on her mission.  One being the spirit of discernment and also being a good companion to those she serves with. She will be "preserved" while serving in Indianapolis, Indiana, so we know she will be protected.  It was nice that the Stake President asked each adult family member to give her some advice and also the Bishop was invited to do the same.

Wednesday morning was full of packing and making sure everything was ready to go by 10:30 a.m.  We picked up Sophia, Kent and Jared and went to say goodbye to a dear friend, Kaitlyn Phillips.
Brick Oven was full of missionaries getting ready to report.

We drove by the temple but no one wanted to get out and take pictures so here's a picture of what we saw.

Sister Partridge getting excited to be dropped off.  We were in line for about 15 minutes before entering the MTC curbside dropoff point. She was shining, ready to go...

Here we go with saying goodbye to the missionary.

It was fun giving her hugs!  Mom didn't want to let go of this sweet sister missionary!
The boys didn't get out but gave hugs over the seat.  Then, there she goes....

Sister Stoddard was the welcoming host missionary (she is going to the Phillipines).

Charlotte got her mission call!

Charlotte Gets Her Call

Charlotte received her call on Thursday, Oct. 13th but waited to open it the next day so she could have her Nana and friends there. Her Aunt Donita and cousin McKenna were on the phone listening to all the excitement!
The funny thing was 5 minutes before her dad, Jason, checked the mail, we were talking about how to go onto her email for her mission (that's how Carmen knew they had already given her a call.) but we couldn't really figure it out.  Then Jason checked the mail and ran all the way back home and said it's here. We were blown away because it had only been a week and a half since they turned in her papers.  We know she is meant to serve in this mission!  She really wanted to learn a language but our faith is secure that the Lord knows what she needs and where she needs to be.  It's not where you go but what you do to serve the Lord.
It reminds me of the hymn, "I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord, over mountains or plains or sea. I'll go where you want me to go dear Lord, I'll be what you want me to be."

Our new missionary!  Now we have two missionaries in our family! WOW!  I love that our children have a desire to serve the Lord!

Look out Indiana, Indianapolis here comes one great missionary!
