Love is in the Air!

Hey, Hey Everyone! I have a lot of GREAT news!
-Sister Collard found a recipe that makes close to 100 cookies...and I made them! ...With extra chocolate chips! :D
-Elder Hesser leaves for his mission to Tonga next week!
-Megan and Jack are getting MARRIED!!!! I have been praying for this for so long! Megan finally got a job and Jack was able to quit his, giving them enough money to give Sister Partridge an excuse to make a wedding cake!  Jack has also made some big progress with the discussions. He watched the Restoration with Megan (member) and he loved it! He made a connection I wouldn't have with Moses and Joseph Smith. They both received the same guidance for the Lord's people. BAM! God is the same in the Old Testament and Now! Jack is starting to get excited about the Gospel of Jesus Christ...Megan is a little held back in lessons, but really she should be the missionary! She knows everything and knows how to explain it so well. She will be an amazing Mom and wife!

Sister Womack and I have been having a lot of fun this week and
have found a new love for missionary work. The Lord is so good! I Love our Prophet Thomas S. Monson and I love Conference!  As a church we have been going back to the basics. The primary answers. Prayer. Read your Scriptures. Go to Church. All these things are Great but if we don't have Faith they don't mean very much.  In Alma 32, Alma teaches what Faith is and how to get it. "Faith is not a perfect knowledge...but, an experiment...". Try my words and the words of Alma, experiment, Pray with real intent, Go to church with an open heart, Read with a question on your mind, See what happens. I promise those who experiment always get results and these results are always Good!

Love you alll!!!!! Thanks for the love and prayers, it really helps!
Have a Great Week!

Mormons at our BBQ!

This week was so much FUN! We had a lesson with Kate and Connie, we went to the temple, and had a family BBQ!

The Indy temple is soooo beautiful, the beauty is beautiful. Everyone we talk to that went through the Open house has loved the reverence and purity of the way we treat the building. One day, one day they will be able to feel that same reverence and purity in there lives! I am so grateful for the opportunity we had this week to go through and feel the power that my Savior has.

Our lesson with Connie went well, she read the pamphlet and loved not being the only one to ask which church in true. She found a great connection with Joseph Smith and knows that she need to pray to know for herself. Her grandnephew came home in the middle of the lesson and seemed a little interested. We are going back next week to see how she is doing, she says her memory isn't to great but she loves to read so pray for Connie.

We were invited to a less-actives family BBQ on Saturday. What an
event! Sister Womack and I had so much fun. We shared stories about vacations, watch out for those creepy BnB in Deloris Colorado. It felt a lot like we were the Mormons at the Baptist Barbecue, but nothing caught fire by the time we left so it's all good!

This week I've really been working on Mind over Matter. There's
something that a Jewish captive said while in the middle of horrible, heart breaking conditions. Frankl Said "Its not what happens to us, but OUR response to what happens to us that hurts us." I have started to understand a little more what my mind can do. We are to Act, not to be acted upon.
I've had a good run, my mission is only 18 months, but life is much
longer. Take care of your self and your family and all will be good.
Keep smiling!
Love ya!

Why Do I Believe

Its good old Sister Partridge again, Hey Guys!
This week was a blast!
Sister Womack went on exchanges with Sister Giles and they found 2
whole new investigators!!!! and they are both Former investigators,
Even Better!!!

Connie is the sweetest old lady I have ever seen, she has
recently had a change of heart (probably because her husband died),
her husband would visit with the Elders and she would walk in the back
room. Now she whats to listen and, more importantly, READ!! YAY!
Kate is a single mom with a bad smoking addiction, she
stopped taking the lessons because she couldn't stop, but now shes
ready for something to change! She loves the idea of Enduring to the
End, she even has a tatoo of a semi colon behind her ear to remind her
and give her strength. We will be meeting with her tomorrow, she is so
cool and is really in need of love.

An Indiana tradition is "Why I Believe" programs. Basically several
converts are given the opportunity to get up and tell their conversion
story. A musical number is preformed and then we have COOKIES! The
testimonies last night were amazing. Truth is found where the spirit
is felt and I have felt that spirit with the Gospel of Jesus Christ:
Daily faith, Daily repentance, and Weekly sacrament meeting.
I had the privilege to be born a member... but I have chose to stay.
My life would never be this happy, this inspiring and joyful if I was
not an active member. I love the work I can do and I love the people I
serve. My life has turned on small hinges, its the little things that
matter.

Keep being awesome everyone! I love ya lots! Remember to invite the
missionaries over for dinner with a friend who would like some Joy!
Love ya, Sister Partridge
Have a Great Day!!!
