Hey Ya'll,
This week has been soooooo long! Old man Sam, our investigator came
to church on Sunday. It was great he really likes that we take the
sacrament every week, his mass only does it once a month, so that was
cool.
Then on Friday we spent FOREVER at the Islamic center. We watched
what they do and then asked questions...I have come to the conclusion
that they are a good people, they just see Allah (translated to English
means God) as all powerful, in everything and everywhere. If you just
look at the Old Testament version of God, He can be pretty scary! and
that's what they live with. They either have soooo much respect for God
that they treat others with Pure love or they live in such fear of God
and what He will do to them.
Anyway, after prayer Baig fed us lunch...he said I looked weak and
asked if I ate breakfast. When we got our food he proceed to give sister
Collins and I half of his plate. He gave us both biscuits and half of
his omelette. We tried to get him to take it home but he would not have
it. I will testify at the Judgment bar with Jesus Christ that Baig will
be saved. He knows more about the character of Christ then most
Christians, and yes he does believe that Jesus Christ was a prophet, all
Muslims believe that. ...they just don't know that he was the son of
God.
Sorry, I'll stop rambling, This week has really taught me just how
important it is to know, to really know, that you are a Child of God.
You sat on his lap, you pulled his hair and wrestled with him before
this life. Knowing who you are is one of the Biggest blessings we can
come to know.
Challenge Time: Pray with all the desire of your heart to know
EXACTLY who you are and what you were like before we were here. Then
wait, pause, take a breath and let the spirit teach. I promise everyone:
If you follow through with these instructions that you will feel
exactly how He feels about you.
Love you guys, have a great week! :)
Sister Charlotte Partridge
Sister Collins and I have done some pretty crazy stuff!
We went running one morning and it was great weather...then it snowed super hard, the cars were grounded all day!
We also got quail eggs from a part member family, they were soooo small. 4 eggs, equal 1 chicken egg!
